On Friday 21 June, the Year 7 students went to QVMAG museum and the Planetarium for a day of facts and fun. The stations at the museum were Questacon, The Objects Gallery, Transport through the Ages as well as Animals. Some of the highlights were Questacon where students got to solve puzzles and riddles based on science and the earth.

Everyone also loved the dinosaurs, where we got to look at real fossils and dead or extinct animals. We got to learn when dinosaurs went extinct and what minerals are rare and look like gold. There was also a rather interesting sugar cube on display that some of our less disciplined students tried very hard not to lick!

In the Planetarium we learned when the next solar eclipse will happen that will go over Australia, on 22 July 2028 and it will be clearly seen at the Sydney Harbour.

Overall, everyone had a fantastic day out at QVMAG and we hope to have more fun excursions in the near future.
